About Us

All Star Pet Rescue is an all volunteer organization formed in April, 2006. We do not have a facility and are comprised solely of foster homes for homeless pets.

Our mission is to network with other shelters and rescue groups to take in animals needing a new start. We do not discriminate based on breed, age or health status and only place the animals in loving and responsible homes. We also work to educate the public about the benefit of spaying or neutering their animals and the usefulness of microchipping. We receive no public funding and count on animal lovers to help provide the medical care and supplies necessary for the health, safety and comfort of our rescues.

Abbey

About Abbey

Abbey is a gorgeous 5-year-old greyhound mix who came into her home at 5 months of age. She was raised with many dogs around, but as she’s matured her desire to have other dogs around has diminished. After having multiple skirmishes with her housemate she now has to be re-homed into a place with no other dogs. She’s extremely loving with her people, enjoys snuggling and gives gentle kisses often, but is not a good choice for a home with active or small children. She walks extremely well on a leash, and while she gets slightly reactive when she sees other dogs during walks, she can easily be re-directed with treats and praise. Abbey is an independent player, and if given a rope-toy or a bone she’ll play all by herself for quite some time… for some reason she plays best with these items if a person she enjoys is watching her. She loves to run, and is extremely fast, so a fenced-in yard is necessary. To learn more, please click on the button below!
